Weekly Football pictures
The Huskies played Clay today and it was a pretty easy win. The score was 40-0. The second string played most of the second half and a good part of the second quarter, so J did not play that much, but he played great when he was in the game.

Some Old pics, just for fun
I came across some old pictures of J the other day and when I first glanced at them, they so reminded me of W. Its funny because I can look at old pictures of B and say the same thing. I've said all along, W is a 50/50 mix of both J and B. This first picture looks like one of W's new expressions. The second one looks just like W's serious look. And something about the third picture reminds me of W's checks!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Tonight was B's first baseball game and first game hitting off the pitching machine. On our way to the game he said, "We are going to lose and I'm going to strike out". Poor fellow, he is struggling this season. He just needs a little coaching, some extra attention, and a lot of confidence. He was not thrilled about going to the game, which is upsetting, because I know he LOVED it in the spring. Anyways, they did win; however, B struck out 3 times (all of his at bats). He started off playing pitcher for 2 innings, then the coach moved him to left field for 1 inning, then center field for 1 inning and then short stop for the last inning. I guess he was moving all the kids around to give them experience, which is fine, but B needs some action to keep his attention.
The coach had B second in the line up, so I know he was nervous.

As you can tell, he is really into the game (ha, ha)

Here he is at left field..."Are we having fun yet?"

I know this season is supposed to be relaxed and for good experience, I just want B to be happy and have fun!

Fun times outside
It was nice to get outside today and play. It was still hot, but there was a nice breeze and the humidity seemed to be down. Just got me ready and excited for fall to get here. B and W played on the playground and had a blast. B was in a great mood today and finally let me take some pictures of him.

I'm not real sure what this look of W's was, but he was enjoying the swing and the breeze too.

I love that big Brown truck
It was like Christmas here this afternoon. The brown truck delivered two packages today. The first was W's halloween costume...the cutest little monkey.... just look!

And then came W's first pair of walking shoes. Are these not the cute little elephant shoes ever!
He was not real sure what to think of the shoes. At first he wanted them off and fussed, but I kept them on so he could get used to them. He actually does not do as well walking with them on, but they look so cute!!

Picture Day
J had his team pictures today and I wanted to go so I could take a few pictures to make a button for game day. It started raining in the middle of pictures, but they were able to finish them anyway. I let W walk and crawl around on the field and he had a ball. He was "bear crawling" and all the kids and coaches got a kick out of that and accused Jeff of already getting him ready for football. W was also fascinated with the boys helmets and wanted to crawl on top of them and pick them all up.

Too close for comfort...
It was a nail biter today. J's team played Hoover, which they beat something like 60-0 last year. Well, I'm not sure exactly which team Hoover recruited from this year, but this was definitely a different team. Their biggest and best player was bigger than our Nicholas. And that is pretty big! The score was 6-6. Hoover scored in the 3rd quarter and Trussville scored with 13 seconds left in the game. Way too close for comfort. J played great and he knew he did. He came off the field saying he "hammered one guy" and he "laid one guy out"... you know...football talk like that. He was proud of himself, had a good time, but knew they didn't win, which is something they got very used to last year. Hopefully this is the toughest team we play.

This is him on the end.

It is hard to tell which one J is, but he is making a great block beside
