J's Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was J's last day of kindergarten. We are headed to the beach this afternoon, but I took a picture of J waiting for the bus this morning. I can't believe he is wearing the same thing today as he was on the first day of school. The first 2 pics are today. The last 2 pics are his 1st day of kindergarten. My, how he has grown and looks so old!

Yankees ride the Ship!

What a wild week of playoff games for the Yankees. B played in his Championship game on Friday night and WON! They played 6 innings and played their little hearts out. They received trophies and medals for winning the regular season and tournament. B was so proud of his trophy and spent about 30 minutes in his room this morning rearranging his bookshelf to make room for it.

Look at what we saw on the field after the game (3rd picture down). A FOX! We were just all standing around in the parking lot after the game and a fox ran out from the woods and was wandering around the field looking for food. Pretty neat, huh?

Today, B had his end of season party and got another trophy. They had a blast at the party playing wiffle ball, water guns, and football. After the trophies were passed out, we told the coaches the boys had a surprise for them and they need to all line up in the grass beside each other. Then the boys all got water balloons and threw them at the coaches! It was hilarious to watch and the boys just loooooved this!

Oh, and check out W's eyes in the last one! I can't believe how blue they look!

B's school is out...

So B had 3K graduation today. I can't believe school is already out. I sat there during the program just watching B and thinking about how fast this school year has gone by. I know I need to really soak up each little moment, each little phase, because before long it will be gone. I really try to do that, and yet....I don't know.....I still find myself shocked that the time is flying by.

I've been studying B today. I look at him and I want to encourage him. I want him to know and feel that he is SO loved & SO supported, so I pull him close to me & say, "B....I'm SO proud of you". It comes naturally to my lips to tell my boys that I am proud of them. But the moment it left my mouth... it struck me. I AM SO PROUD OF HIM. He is a helpful, loving, sneaky, spunky little thing.

So, he finished 3K today. It's a little mini milestone in his life. He's learned so much this year. And, yes, I am so proud of him!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

My mom is my best friend. We talk on the phone daily, sometimes several times a day. She has taught me so much about the kind of person I want to be. She is so strong and the best mother I could imagine. She's been there for me with a smile, encouraging me, no matter what. She's incredibly creative, thoughtful, cheerful, and loving and I am so thankful for her. She's also a lot of fun! She's an awesome Giggy and looooooves being Giggy too! She enjoys going on walks and fun exursions with the boys and they adore her!

We had such a wonderful weekend for Mother's Day. I'm so glad Giggy, Pappy, Momo and Grandaddy were able to come to visit.

My beautiful mom, I love you!

Her children rise and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28

B brought home a special Mother's Day gift from school. He painted a little hand bag with his fingerprints. It was just precious and had this bible verse written on it. You should have seen how proud he was to give it to me. . . brought tears to me eyes. He also made a picture with his hand prints. Then the teacher sent home a cute little paper that she had the children write. It was titled "My mom is the most wonderful mom in the world!" and there were fill in the blanks that B filled in:

My mom's name is Jennifer.
My mom has blonde hair and green eyes.
She is 40 feet tall and weighs 17 pounds.
My mom likes to eat vegetables.
My mom is happy when I give here hugs.
But I know she is really angry when she pitches a fit.
My mom's favorite TV show is American Idol.
My mom is smart. She knows all about me.
If my mom would have one wish come true is would be a new bike.
I love my mom because she buys me toys.

Isn't that the cutest?!!!

Best Buddies

Here is another from the other day at the river. Can you believe this was not posed or anything. They were walking across the bridge and B was telling J something. I just love the way B is looking up at J. I think I will frame this one in their room.

I asked B what he wanted to do today and he said, "Go back to the wake and eat a wowwipop!"

I could just eat him up with a spoon!!!

W is 9 months!

I can't believe W is 9 months old! Time has just flown by way too fast. I picked up my old point and shoot camera today and realized I had several pictures that had not been downloaded yet. These pictures are from January when W was 5 months old and was just learning to sit up by himself. Looking at these pictures has really made me stop and think about where time has gone. I am soooo looking forward to this summer and just hanging out and playing with the boys. It will be so nice to just sit and play without time restrictions (school, ball practice...) We really need some down time.

Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh Lolli, Lollipop!

We had such a great time at the river today. The boys played in the water and had a blast! One of Jackson's friends from school was down there too with his brother and they all played together. I bought some giant lollipops at the dollar store and told the boys they could have them as long as they let me take their picture. I have to say they were very cooperative! Fun times!

May 2

I haven't taken any pictures of W in awhile and definitely need to. I can't believe he will be 9 months tomorrow!!! He is getting so big and really getting into everything in the house. I'm so much more nervous with him as he is pulling up on everything. I'm scared he is going to fall on the hardwood floors and really hurt himself. This morning as I was getting ready, he got out of my sight for literally 1 minute. The next thing I know, B is running in screaming for me. W had climbed 5 stairs and was just sitting on the landing of our stairs! YIKES!!! I've got to get the gate up, but I'm afraid that will be just as dangerous, I just know he'll want to climb it too!

More from our time at the river over the weekend. I've just been playing with my photoshop program. Trying out some different ways of editing. We are going to back down to the river when school gets out and I'm going to take some more pictures. I'm going to let the boys play in the water with their bathing suits this time.
