Jeff got me a new lens for my camera for my birthday last week and I haven't been able to use it without a filter. Well, the filter arrived today... so here a few a took this afternoon. I love this lens! And of course, I love my subjects to photograph...

Caught in the act

I caught W digging through the diaper bag and he pulled out a ball point pen. Well, what do you do with a ball point pen...??? You draw on your face, of course. Moments later W decided to do his daily exercises on the stairs... again, caught in the act. He is such a mess!

Just Playing

I think blogging and photography has become therapy for me. Like my Diet Mtn. Dew, I need my "fix" of photo time and computer time each day. I liked these pictures of J from yesterday and decided to play a little with them.

I love Wednesdays!

Wednesdays now mean "no football practice and no homework!" It was so nice to not have to go anywhere this afternoon when J got home from school. W was extra cranky, as he did not get his afternoon nap, so I put him to bed at 6:00. I hope I don't pay for it at 4:00 in the morning! Anyways, after I put W to bed, we ordered pizza and rode scooters in the driveway. Love it! Just like the days of summer, which now that we are in the school routine, seem like forever ago! B was happy to have J around to play with and J was thrilled to lounge around and do as he pleased. We had planned to go to the pool this afternoon, but considering it was 104 degrees at 3:30, we decided not to.

B's First Day

B started 4k on Monday. He has been talking a lot about being in Ms. Shelia's class and meeting new friends and has generally been excited about it. However, this morning, I could tell he was not quite as eager to go. He didn't want to brush his hair. He didn't want to brush his teeth. He didn't want to put his shoes on. And of course, he didn't want me to take his picture! After a few hugs, kisses, tickles and giggles, he relaxed a little and was ready for school!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

So, I thought we might spend the day at the ER this morning. I walk out of the room for just a second and the next thing I know W is on the coffee table in the living room. He starts crawling to the end of the table and before I can make it there, he does a forward flip off the table and lands on his back. I immediately grab him and I was fearful he broke his arm, or worse. He just had a black eye, THANKFULLY! I know I've said it before, but he is REALLY a monkey! This boy loves to climb on everything!!!

So, about 10 minutes later he his ready to play and climb some more. ACK!! Anyways, B started hamming it up and dancing around while he was getting dressed and decided to wear his undies on his head. Then, monkey see, monkey do, W tries them on too! And yes, they were clean...

Yeah! It's Saturday!

We were very thankful that it is Saturday today! It has been a busy week with football, friends over, and the start of school. We slept in a little later this morning and then headed to the pool. We have no plans for tonight, thankfully! Tomorrow we have 3 birthday parties to go to from 1:30 until 6:00. Long day, but fun for the boys.

Code Red! Here comes the Sea Monster!

So since we came back from the cruise, the boys have really enjoyed playing airplane and sea cruise boat. They get out all of their little toy animals, planes and boats and play "rescue the animals on the boat". It is really cute to watch and listen to them play. They have even allowed W to play with them and they have assigned him the roll of "Sea Monster". You see, he has this role because every time they get these toys out, he attempts to demolish everything! Then they scream, "Code red! Code red! Here comes the sea monster!" Then W grunts and growls in is best Darth Vator voice and climbs on the toy car garage, which is actually now an "underground aquarium". So funny!
