I love Spring Break!

It is so nice having Jackson home this week. It has made me realize how much I miss him while he is at school. We have soooo enjoyed playing together. Yesterday we stayed outside from 10am until 6pm. We did the same today, (after he had a haircut). It was beautiful, so we decided to head on down to the lake. Jackson actually reminded me that I don't get to take as many pictures of him since he is usually at school. He told me to bring my camera to the lake so I could take pictures of his new haircut and before he turns 7 and looses any more teeth! He is so funny! Check out his new haircut....

I told him to "strike a pose" and this
is what he did. Funny boy!

Another baseball day

B had his first practice game this morning. Boy was he ready! He was dressed in his Yankee's uniform before breakfast and couldn't wait for his game. He is now playing short stop and really does well. It is so cute to see him out there - I think he is probably one of the smallest ones, but he sure does love it!!!

B has his game face on and is
in "baseball position".

He actually prefers fielding the ball rather
than batting, but here he is getting ready to
"knock that ball"!

This was too cute seeing him line up to say good game.

Fun times at the ballpark!

The Candy Man Can

If there are two things that B cannot do without, its candy and his "mankie". Today, I couldn't find him and I kept calling and calling for him. Well, I go in the laundry room to throw something away and he about scared me to death. There's B sitting on the floor behind the door wrapped up in his mankie and eating a piece of candy. I don't even know where the candy came from, but somehow he always seems to find it in the house. He must have some secret stash somewhere. Just this morning I was making up his bed and I found 5 stale pink heart marshmallows hidden under his sheets! No telling how long they had been there! Well here is my little candy man...

Just a couple of W too. I just love the second one!

Tub Time

These boys were so silly tonight. After the boys got in the tub, they saw me in the bedroom playing with my camera and they actually called for me to come take their picture. This is what they gave me...

The 1st shot was great. They posed, were still and all smiles.

Then the sillies came back.

And more sillies!!!

Best Buddies

Here's a quick pic of J and B. I so love it when they are in their "Best Buddies" mood.

And here is B before his baseball practice. He is really loving baseball. Every morning he always asks "Do we have practice tonight?" He wants to put on his practice clothes as soon as he wakes up or as soon as he gets home from school. Tonight they practiced him at 1st base. He did really well and actually pays very good attention.

By the way, if you left click your mouse over the picture it will go to a full screen of the. Look at B's eyes in this picture. You can actually see my shadow. Kind of neat...

Spring is here...I think!

It has been so nice to get outside this weekend. Today, J and I went on a hunt to find some neat and different stuff to photograph and here is what we found. J said he wanted to be a photographer too and get a cool camera like mine when he grows up. I love that he shows interest in my new hobby! He also said he wanted to frame his favorite picture that we took today and I have a feeling it is going to be Taylor or the lizard!

How about this tree hugger!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Jackson had a practice game this morning. He did a great job. They are playing him at pitcher and he seems to like it. He made two outs today. He has also been hitting the ball pretty good to0. He hit a single, but then he got out at 1st two times. But at least he is hitting the ball.

Here he is with his pitcher's gear on.

Benjamin also had practice today.
He played 3rd base and seems to like
it better than pitcher, but I think he
gets a little bored there.
Here is my little slugger....

What a Day!

Today was B's first school program. They had an "International Festival" and sang songs about France. Then they had a "Tasting Party" in the gym. It ended up being a cute program and B did a good job...however, the morning leading up to the program was not so great!

I think the grouchy bug was going around our house this morning. J woke up with it, then Daddy took him to school. Next came W's turn and he continued to cry and fuss until it was time to leave for the program. In the middle of W's fussiness, B decided he did not want to wear a "button shirt" for the program and refused to get dressed. Of course during all this, I'm trying to get ready, finish making the chocolate mousse for the program, get W ready and tidy up the house. Fast forward to loading the car... My bad ankle gives out and I fall on the concrete driveway... slowly, I get up and thankfully I didn't hurt it too bad. I was able to relax a little after I dropped B off and drove to get a Diet Mtn. Dew. At 9:30, I go back to the school and load up the 4 containers of chocolate mousse while pushing W in the stroller. I get right in front of the church door and 1 of the containers falls right on my foot! Mousse everywhere!!!! I cleaned it up the best I could and hurriedly went inside for the program.

B did a great job and the whole time during the program I couldn't help but smile and think how proud I am of him, regardless of how crazy the morning was. He looked so cute up there on the stage.

Now to top the day off, we get home and Taylor is barking in the garage. I open the door and I can smell it already! YUCK!!! Poop everywhere! And that has been our day... and it is only 12:30!

On the bright side, here are some handsome pictures of the "Button Shirt Boy"

Funny Boy

W is so silly! He has been doing this funny little smile lately and I tried to take a picture of him doing it. He has also started chewing on his tongue with the front of his mouth. It looks like he is trying to say "da da", but no sound comes out. The boys and I sat on the floor last night with him and just laughed and laughed at him. He is such a delight to all of us. I get so thrilled when I see J and B laughing and playing with him like that. I just cannot believe he is 7 months now!!!

I love Photoshop!

I love this Photoshop program I bought to edit pictures. These are a few that I have played with. I love this picture of W, but as you can see, the big drool drip (in the last picture) is a bit distracting. With this program, I can just erase it out! Pretty neat, huh? Then I can brighten up the pictures and sharpen them to make them just right. Today I also figured out how to put a watermark on the pictures to prevent them from being copied and used (not that my photography is so good to be copied, but it was fun to make one anyway!) These are the same picture, three different ways. The last one is the original. What do you think?

Here's J

I took these outside on the back porch before our "big storm" yesterday. I think I got some really good ones of him. He looks so grown up in these... with his missing tooth. I can't believe he is about to be 7!

I really like this one. There is something
about this one that definitely looks
like his daddy!

This is the "Please no more pictures" look.

Trying New Things

Since New Year's, I have really been trying to learn and do some new "things". I've been trying to learn photography, some new technology, painting (my kitchen), and now here I am trying to blog! Ha! We'll see how this goes. Mainly I'd like to start this to post some pictures I've been taking lately. I've been reading a TON of stuff about photography, so here are my attempts...

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here. Not a cloud in the sky and about 75 degrees. After I picked B up from school, we decided to have a picnic by the river, and of course I brought my camera. Here are a few...

This is such a great place for pictures! I just love this bridge.
I will definitely come back here for more picture with all three boys.

B was getting a little tired of pictures at this point!
