It was a nail biter today. J's team played Hoover, which they beat something like 60-0 last year. Well, I'm not sure exactly which team Hoover recruited from this year, but this was definitely a different team. Their biggest and best player was bigger than our Nicholas. And that is pretty big! The score was 6-6. Hoover scored in the 3rd quarter and Trussville scored with 13 seconds left in the game. Way too close for comfort. J played great and he knew he did. He came off the field saying he "hammered one guy" and he "laid one guy out"... you know...football talk like that. He was proud of himself, had a good time, but knew they didn't win, which is something they got very used to last year. Hopefully this is the toughest team we play.
This is him on the end.
It is hard to tell which one J is, but he is making a great block beside
this guy

We had wondered how the game went. It does sound like a nail biter. Glad J did so well and knew it, too. Wish we could have been there too.
Love and hugs, mom
